Advised the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on trade negotiations in agriculture under the WTO Agreement on Agriculture from 1998 to 2009, and has been a member of Indian Official Delegations for the Official and Ministerial Meetings. |

He has also been a member of several High Powered Committees, Inter Ministerial Groups, Expert Groups and Technical Advisory Committees constituted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Planning Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, and Industry Chambers. |

He has been a visiting researcher at the International Trade Division of the World Bank, Washington, D.C., consultant to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris, Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Rome, and Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, and a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Research Institute for Agricultural Economics, Budapest. |

He has delivered guest lectures on various issues related to Indian agriculture, trade policy, and reforms in Indian agriculture at leading economic think tanks, and writes off and on for India’s leading financial dailies – The Economic Times, The Financial Express, and Business Standard. |
